Gossip Machine

Analyze Wikipedia page view data to identify dates when your subject received unusual attention, then search those specific dates on Google News. This tool helps you find when someone was "in the news" by looking for statistical spikes in their Wikipedia traffic.

How it works: The tool calculates z-scores for daily page views within a month. Higher z-scores indicate more unusual traffic spikes. A z-score of 2+ usually indicates a newsworthy event.
